Apart from environmental changes, ponds are also vulnerable to urban expansion and agriculture intensification leading to degradation and loss of the entire pond ecosystem.
How FuturEco Is Rejuvenating Ponds In Indian Villages
We are committed to the constant development of small water bodies in rural areas by turning them into a source of groundwater recharging and drought-proofing. Historically, our village ponds have been vital for the source recharge at the village level. Therefore, our strategies include provisions for reliable drinking water sources and augmentation of existing sources to provide long-term sustainability of the water supply system in Indian villages.
